Tea Time

 Psalms 23 ~
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. KJV

I look after my granddaughters after school four days a week.
A set of twins who are seven and a six year old.
They are a lively bunch!
I have been having Tea Time with them since they were wee little (smiles). I make some special treats for us to have our tea. They love adding sugar maybe a little too much.  I set a small bowl of ice cubes along with the tea to cool theirs off a bit. It is a memory. My goal was and is to make a memory with them. To give them a love for Tea Time with Grandma.
They have recently begun to learn how to read. So we have tea time with Psalms 23.
I have one of them read and I help them with the hard words. Words like shepherd, pastures, and righteousness.
Tea time has become something they look forward to and even ask for at times. Usually, I’m the one to initiate it but I don’t mind (smiles). I enjoy it. I do pray that they will become familiar with Psalms 23. I do pray that as we are consistent with Tea Time and the reading of God’s word they will begin to ask for the Bible to be read out loud as we sit and enjoy our tea.
