Keeping Home
(A few thrifted French inspired plates from Goodwill)
As we face very trying days we must keep things as normal as possible. Being faithful as Keepers at home. Keeping house . Tending to the children (if you have littles at home.) Being watchful and prayerful. Not neglecting our call as wives & mother’s. All things are for His glory! There is a sense of beauty in our day to day lives as homemakers. I encourage you to take sometime to enjoy what’s around you. Whose around you. I take out my fine dishes and I use them and enjoy them. You can do the same and enjoy them with those you love. Proverbs 17:22 says’ A merry heart doeth good like a medicine.” Keeping a joyful heart is like medicine. Strong’s definition says “ it’s a cure . A joyful heart gives a happy healing. Removal of a bandage for the healing of a wound.” Are you keeping a joyful heart? If you find yourself overwhelmed by the times. Feeling empty (like I’ve felt recently) go before the Lord open his word and be filled with His truth. I was listening to a hymn the other night and it just blessed me to go before the Lord and pour out my heart. It was the song “ Just As I am”. In the newer version by Travis Cottrell the choirs goes

(My lunch today on pretty plate)
“ I come broken to be mended
I come wounded to be healed
I come desperate to be rescued
I come empty to be filled
I come guilty to be pardoned
By the blood of Christ the Lamb
And I'm welcomed with open arms
Praise God, just as I am .”
I come wounded to be healed
I come desperate to be rescued
I come empty to be filled
I come guilty to be pardoned
By the blood of Christ the Lamb
And I'm welcomed with open arms
Praise God, just as I am .”
These are hard times for all of us. Some more than other’s. I want to encourage you to to take the time to do what you love . To spend time creating, cooking, cleaning, serving, encouraging those that are most near you. Our families need & depend on us Mama’s to keep the household going. The joy of the Lord is your strength! May our days be filled with the beauty of His holiness and that includes our homes. I leave you with a few scriptures about the joy of the Lord.
BECAUSE HE LIVES!
Blessings to you!
•Nehemiah 8:10-
"The joy of the Lord is your strength"(Nehemiah 8:10).
•James 1:2-3 -
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”
1 Peter 1:8-9
Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
