Finding Joy & Hope in the Bible

Psalm 31:1-2
 I love the Word of God! What a comfort is has been to me for the last twenty-seven years of walking out my faith with Jesus.

The Bible says in Psalm 34:19 
“ Many are the afflictions of the righteous : but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.” (KJV)  AMEN! 
Are you believing that? I am. I do! I found comfort in these chapters today. Psalm chapters 30-34 have given me such hope this morning. We have so much going on in our lives. We hear so much unrest, negativity & chaos coming out of the world. My heart weighs heavy. But I come away from all of it and find quietness & rest in the word of God. I renews my spirit & my thinking every time. It never fails. God never fails. I exchange my feelings my unrest for the truth & firmness of the word which tells  me “ .. the earth is FULL  of the GOODNESS of the Lord! (Psalm33:5) ! Again it tells me to Rejoice in the Lord O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright. (psalm 33:1) 
It is good to pause and think on  the Lord. To sing a new song. Why do we praise? Because all is good? NO because He is good! It tells me in Psalm 32:10 ...”he that trusteth in the Lord mercy shall compass him about. “ O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. ( Psalm34:8) Are you troubled ? Call upon the name of the Lord. Are you living in sin? Call upon the name of the Lord. Seek the Lord while He may be found.
 Psalm 34:15 tells us to depart from evil & do good seek peace and pursue it. 
verse15-... His ears are open unto your cry. Amen! 
The Word of God is full of promises. 
I close with one more scripture. 
Psalm 31:23-24“ O love the Lord, all ye his saints: for the Lord preserve the the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer. Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord. “ Amen!

The Devastating Cost of Sin Carried Out

This is my response to a post on a  Pastor’s page ( his response was he was saddened for his “dismissal “) to his response about the news on Carl Lentz being fired from his position. -Forgive me and I say this with much respect - You are saddened to hear of his “dismissal “?!   Why not call it what it is . I’m saddened that he committed an adulterous relationship .  Aren’t you?  I’m saddened that another marriage has been dreadfully violated. I’m saddened that another man of God ,   fell to the temptations of the flesh . Pride is very subtle.  James 1:4-16 “14 But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by HIS OWN DESIRE . 15 Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death. 16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers.” I’m saddened for his children.       Isaiah 24:1-23 “1  Look! The L ORD  is about to destroy the earth and make it a vast wasteland. He devastates the surface of the earth and scatters the people. 2  Priests and laypeople, servants and masters, maids and mistresses, buyers and sellers, lenders and borrowers, bankers and debtors--none will be spared. 3  The earth will be completely emptied and looted.
